Simon initially came to Yoga through Ayurveda. After having experienced a series of lower back issues, he went to a small Ayurvedic cottage hospital in the heart of rural Kerala. After two months as in inpatient, he left the hospital fully on the road to recovery. His physician directed him to complete one Surya Namaska daily for the next three months, from which grew both his love and understanding of all things Yoga and Ayurveda. He returned to live in Kerala, where he studied Ayurvedic medicine, as well as his Yoga practice under the tutelage of his Ayurvedic doctors.
On return to Wales in 2007 he continued his practice of Hatha yoga, and soon took up a practice of Yin as well. He is currently a third of the way through his British Wheel of Yoga 500 hour diploma teacher training course. A self confessed Yoga junky, Simon will actively encourage you to explore all aspects of your Yoga practice, including asana, pranayama and meditation, whilst helping you to explore what your practice means to you.
