CLASS AND STUDIO INFORMATION
Do I need to book a class or can I just turn up?
Booking is advised for regular classes to secure your place as some classes do become very busy. Please visit the timetable page and register an account to complete your booking. You can also just turn up and drop-in to all classes (except courses and workshops). If you haven’t been before, it is good to arrive 10-15 minutes before the class to introduce yourself to the teacher and register on to our system.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable. Yoga is practised in bare feet and most people wear leggings/shorts and a t-shirt/top. For dance classes, it may be advised to wear dance shoes. Outdoor shoes and trainers are not permitted in the studio.
Can I eat before a class?
Yoga, dance and fitness classes can be uncomfortable when practicing on a full stomach. Try to eat at least 2 hours before a class. If you need to eat closer to the class, a light snack such a banana, energy bar or juice should be fine.
I am a complete beginner can I just come along and try a class?
Yes! You can attend any of the classes that say ‘Beginners’ or ‘Suitable for All Levels’. If you are unsure of your entry level, or what style or level of class you should investigate, send us an email to email@example.com. Please let the teacher know you are a beginner.
Can I attend a yoga class if I am pregnant?
In general no, our classes are not suitable if you are pregnant. We would recommend you attend our pregnancy yoga classes which are every Wednesday 18:45pm. These are suitable from 14 weeks of pregnancy and after your first dating scan. There are a few of our regular classes you may be able to attend at the discretion of the teacher. Please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to find out which ones. Yoga is contraindicated during the first trimester so we do not allow anyone who is under 14 weeks and pregnant to attend classes. Always consult your doctor before attending a class and let the teacher know you are pregnant.
What if I have an injury or medical condition?
Always consult your doctor first and please inform the teacher before the class starts. This is really important as it helps the teacher know how to assist you, give you modifications, and keep you safe. We, and our teachers, reserve the right to ask you not to participate in a class if we feel that it would be inappropriate because of an injury or medical condition. If you are unsure of which class to attend, please check the class description page or email email@example.com to discuss the options available to you.
Is there an age limit?
The classes are for everyone, however, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if someone under 16 is hoping to attend a class so we can check that the teacher is happy to have a youngster attend their class.
I’m not flexible. Can I do yoga?
Absolutely. Yoga will help to improve your flexibility as well as your strength.
How can I tell which style of yoga/dance/fitness the class will be?
The timetable states the style for the class, you can look up the style on the class description information page. Also you can look up the teacher taking the class on “teacher profiles” to read about their style of teaching.
Do you offer Privates classes?
Indeed we do, Private poga classes are perfect for a thorough and individually-tailored introduction to the practice. Please email email@example.com to discuss the options available to you.
Do you hire out the studio?
Yes, we do hire out the studio for workshops and other events at certain times in the week. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
I have a question about the weekend workshops
The weekend workshops are run by individual teachers. Please check the workshop page or posters and flyers in the studio for contact details for the teacher running the session who can advise on booking and terms and conditions.

The front door is locked before the start of each class. However, belongings left in the changing rooms are at your own risk.
