Brain Tune-up: Kundalini yoga has so many brain-balancing exercises that activate meridian points to wake up the brain for a more whole brain effect.
TO NOTE: Please drop your child off at the studio at least 5-10 minutes before the class start time and please be waiting outside at 5pm prompt to collect them. Latecomers are not admitted and for security we lock the front door before the class begins. Parents/carers are welcome to stay in the reception during the class if they prefer. Ashtanga vinyasa yoga is an ancient physically demanding spiritual practice that combines posture (asana) with movement that is linked with a breathing system (pranayama) and concentration points (drishti) to create a deeply focused meditative practice. This method creates an intense heat through the breath facilitating the movement (vinyasa) and abdominal control (bandha) that purifies and strengthens the nervous system thus allowing blocked energy to flow freely throughout the subtle channels of the body.

The vibrations of each chant move through the body and help to stimulate the hormones that calm the mind and relax the body. The mantras in Kirtan are chanted in a call-and-response fashion, from the leader to the group, and accompanied by musical instruments, such as harmonium, drums and guitar. There is no need to be shy as everyone’s voices blend together alongside the music. In fact regular Kirtan practice is said to improved confidence and released inhibitions.
